Symmetrical
In this photo of a beach with two chairs, an umbrella, and two boats, balance is very evident. Symmetrical balance is evident because if you split the photo right down the middle it would be exactly the same on both sides. There would be one chair and one boat on each side and half of the umbrella.
Asymmetrical
In this photograph of a building in a town, asymmetrical balance is very evident. Asymmetrical balance is evident due to large building and the colored sky. Since the building is so big it would usually overpower the photo but the colored sky and colored building balances it out. Also since the color is so bright in the sky, the blue clock balances it out on the other side.
In this photograph of five cups asymmetrical balance is evident. Asymmetrical balance is evident due to the four cups on the left being balanced to the one cup on the right. The four cups are equal to the one cup because the four cups are darker colors and the one cup is a brighter color so they balance each other out. This photo demonstrates color complexity/intensity.
